Tubrica, Venezuela's largest pipe fittings manufacturer, intended to set up factories in the developed special zone located in Mariel. It was reported by the Cuba's State News Agency on November 19.
Gustavo Mun-era, the company’s export manager, introduced that the company is evaluating the factory of the pipeline construction project. Their aim is to complete the required documents which the investment applications needs as soon as possible and submitted them to the special area. The first amount of this project is about $ 10 million. The PVC piping products produced are mainly for Cuba, particularly for the construction market. Based on meeting the domestic demand, we will make use of the existing trade agreements in Latin America to prioritize market developing the market in neighboring countries.
Tubrica has been exported the pipeline system which the housing construction and agricultural production need to Cuba since 2005. The company plans to introduce large-diameter pipeline to consolidate its market share in Cuba.
